Episode 41: Shadowhawk #3

A year and a half ago the first two issues of Jim Valentino’s Shadowhawk were acquitted when they were retried on episode 6. But times have changed, the judge is crankier than he once was, and there’s a slobbering green alien bug lizard thing in the mix. Anything could happen.

It’s been a while since there’s been any interior art but you should have a nice point of reference for the Liquifier.

Episode 38: X-Men Unlimited

So if you’re just tuning in, the X-men related books so far have had the weakest showing on this podcast. Add to that, host Nathaniel Wayne’s only other encounter with an “Unlimited” title was the abomination of Fantastic Four Unlimited #1. It’s hard to stay optimistic, but let’s see what happens.

Episode 37: Brigade #1

After episode 7, which tackled X-Force #1, host Nathaniel Wayne made the foolish claim that he didn’t think he had anymore Rob Liefeld work to get through. He was wrong. Enter Brigade. Will this be the thing that wins Nathaniel over or finally breaks his spirit and drives him mad?

Episode 35: Aliens Colonial Marines #1

Even as Fox was unleashing Alien 3 to annoy fans the world over, Dark Horse seemed to realize that there was much more mileage to be had in sticking to the parts of the first sequel that folks seemed to like. Thus was birthed Aliens Colonial Marines. It was well remembered enough that the brand name carried through to a more recent video game (which was so bad that people sued each other over who was the blame for it.) Let’s see if the comic book holds up at all.
